Barry Joins Patriot as AVP – Business Loan Officer

Patriot Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that Mary Barry has joined the credit union’s business services team as an Assistant Vice President, Business Loan Officer. A native and resident of Frederick, Barry has more than 32 years of banking experience with emphasis on relationship building, business development and client satisfaction.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mary to be part of the Patriot team in Frederick, MD,” said Eric Foreman, Senior Vice President of Business Lending at Patriot. “Mary’s experience and service to the community ties perfectly into Patriot’s mission.”

Before joining Patriot, Barry was with Woodsboro Bank as Vice President of Business Development, in Frederick focusing on increasing community awareness and commercial development. Barry earned an Associate Degree in Business Management from Frederick Community College and graduated from the Maryland Bankers Association school of banking held at the University of Maryland University College. Barry will serve businesses in Frederick County and the neighboring marketplace.

“As a community banker serving Frederick County for 32 years, I am excited to join an organization now serving Frederick, allowing me to continue to do what I love to do, help people,” said Mary Barry. “Joining Patriot in the expansion into Frederick is a natural fit for me. I find my enthusiasm, experience and reputation as a community banker, complements Patriot’s mission of people helping people.”

Barry is active in the community, currently serving on the board of directors of the Rotary Club of Carroll Creek and New Spires Arts. She also serves as Vice Chair of the development and recognition committee at Frederick Health, is a development Council member at Heartly House and a Development Council member at Frederick Community Foundation. A graduate of Leadership Frederick County, Barry previously served on several board of directors such as Woman 2 Woman Mentoring, Inc., United Way of Frederick County and Supporting Older Adults with Resources (SOAR). She also served as a committee member for the Mental Health Association of Frederick County and served as Chairwoman of their Catoctin Affair.
