L-R Tara Sargent, Executive Director LWE; Brittany Whiteside and Kelsey Lorman, Director of Graduate Engagement.
Congratulations to Brittany Whiteside, Regional Branch Manager, on her recent graduation from Leadership Washington County (LWC), Class 30, Hagerstown, Maryland. Brittany, who has been with Patriot for four years, was presented with her LWC graduation certificate at the non-profit’s June 9 ceremony at Fountainhead Country Club, Hagerstown.
“Leadership Washington County has made a lasting impact on me and I have learned a significant amount of valuable and impactful information during my LWC journey,” said Whiteside. But my biggest takeaway from the program is learning that leadership is truly a responsibility. It requires passion, authenticity and courage to fearlessly follow your passion and bring others along on your journey.”
Brittany’s LWC Class 30 raised $10,000. Of this amount, $2,500 was designated to the formation of a “LWC Class 30 Be Nice Scholarship” to be offered to the LWC Class of 2019. And LWC Class 30 has committed to raising funds each year to fund the “LWC Class 30 Be Nice Scholarship” in order to leave a legacy and pledge their commitment to LWC in the future.
Overall, LWC has raised a total of $102,537 from all of its LWC graduating classes, including LWC Class 30. About 70% of the total was contributed by the Washington County business community and 30% was raised by LWC alumni.
