patriot dedicates cindy reeder executive conference room

Patriot Federal Credit Union officially dedicated the Cindy Reeder Executive Conference Room at the credit union’s Corporate Headquarters on Wayne Avenue in Chambersburg today, in honor of former employee Cindy Reeder, who passed away on September 9, 2016 after more than 35 years of service to the credit union. The conference room includes a portrait of Reeder and a dedication plaque that reads: “This Conference Room is dedicated to the memory of Cindy Reeder, who faithfully served Patriot for 35 years. We are forever grateful for her wisdom and dedication.”

“Cindy spent a large part of her life with our Patriot family,” said Brad Warner, President/CEO of Patriot Federal Credit Union. For more than 35 years Cindy put her talents and professionalism to work in Patriot’s finance and accounting department playing a critical role in helping us grow from $15 million in assets to over $500 million during her time with us. And you know, Cindy always considered March her birthday month (she was born on March 18, 1959). So, today we are presenting her with a gift that serves as an inspiration to our Patriot family and celebrates her rich life and 35 years of service, the Cindy Reeder Executive Conference Room.”

Patriot staff, members of the Patriot Board of Directors along with Reeder’s husband John, her two children Kevin and Kelley, and other family and friends attended the dedication ceremony. “I know my mother would be very proud to receive this great honor,” said Kevin Reeder. Thank you on behalf of my mother and our entire family.”

Cindy was born in Chambersburg in 1959 and lived in Mercersburg with her husband John. After working at several local businesses as a young woman, Cindy started her career at Patriot in 1981 in the accounting and finance departments. She was survived by her two children, son Kevin and daughter Kelley and their families. She was a 1977 graduate of Buchanan High School and a member of the Mt. Tabor Brethren in Christ Church of Mercersburg.
