Patriot Federal Credit Union has teamed up with the Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Chambersburg Inc., to help raise funds for The Chambersburg Community Mural Project, which will feature the creation of two mosaic murals located in downtown Chambersburg. Patriot is providing a $5,000 community challenge donation for a GoFundMe (online fundraising) campaign. For every dollar donated on the GoFundMe website, Patriot will match it dollar for dollar up to $5,000.
World-renowned, Philadelphia area artist, Isaiah Zagar, will design and create the murals along with a team of local artists. Zagar is an award-winning mosaic mural artist whose work can be found on more than 200 public walls throughout the city of Philadelphia and around the world. The two downtown Chambersburg mural projects will be completed this summer. They will be located at the Main Street Deli and The Foundry buildings. The Main Street Deli mural will about 68 feet wide by 15 feet high. The Foundry mural will be about 37 feet wide and 15 feet high.
