Aspiring entrepreneurs to pitch business ideas in Shark-Tank-like event
The Mont Alto LaunchBox – a business incubator funded by Penn State’s Invent Penn State initiative – will host its 2nd Annual LION Tank Competition on March 15 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the General Studies Auditorium. This micro-grant pitch competition is sponsored by Patriot Federal Credit Union and is open to the public and free of charge.
Aspiring entrepreneurs have been selected to compete in LION Tank, a “Shark-Tank-like” competition. Business ideas will be presented to a panel of judges and the top two will be awarded mini-grants of $1,000 and $1,500. In addition, they will get one year’s access to the Mont Alto LaunchBox facility and additional services to help launch their products into the marketplace.
The Mont Alto LaunchBox, located at 40 North Second Street in Chambersburg, provides resources and support to entrepreneurs in a free co-working space to help early-stage and more advanced startups build a sustainable and scalable business and viable plan for growth.
