Menno Haven Retirement Community Benevolent Fund

Patriot makes a $400 donation to Menno Haven Retirement Communities in Chambersburg. Our donation helps supports their Benevolent Fund, and monies are used when residents have depleted their financial resources and allows them to stay at Menno Haven to live and be cared for. In 2014 Menno Haven provided over 150 residents with care totaling over $4,000,000.

Frank's Pantry

Craig Toms and Frank Rupar, volunteers at Frank's Pantry, a food bank in Chambersburg through the St Vincent DePaul Society of Corpus Christi Church, receive canned food items from Ken Ditzler, Director of Marketing at Patriot Federal Credit Union. The food items were collected by Patriot from donors at the credit union's shred day in early June.

Greater Chambersburg Chamber Foundation 2015 Scoop-A-Palooza

Patriot Federal Credit Union recently donated $500 to the Greater Chambersburg Chamber Foundation in support of the 2015 Scoop-A-Palooza, an all you can eat ice cream festival scheduled for July 11 from 11 AM to 3 PM in the cafeteria at Chambersburg Area Senior High School. This is the Foundation's sixth year conducting the Scoop-A-Palooza ice cream festival and they anticipate more than 1,000 people to attend, sampling ice cream and enjoying fun summer activities, like face painting.

Western Maryland Blues Fest Family Day

Patriot employees participated in the Western Maryland Blues Fest Family Day at the Hagerstown Park.

Waynesboro Area Business, Education and Community Foundation's Capital Campaign

Patriot Federal Credit Union is the latest donor in the Waynesboro Area Business, Education and Community Foundationís capital campaign to renovate the stadium at Waynesboro Area Senior High School. Patriot pledged a donation of $25,000 over five years with the first of check being given to WABEC at a recent school board meeting. Patriot is sponsoring the flagpole at Buchanan Automotive Stadium.

Chambersburg Area Senior High School Color Day

Mary Warren, Marketing; Britlyn Metcalfe, Gateway Service Representative and Mary Middaugh, Federal Street Branch Manager attended the Chambersburg Area Senior High School annual Color Day on Friday, May 22.




Fulton County Relay for Life

Patriot presented a check to benefit the American Cancer Society (ACS) Relay for Life of Fulton County. The event will be held on June 19-20 at the Central Fulton High School, McConnellsburg.

Chambersburg High School Reality Fair

Patriot, along with local businesses, sponsored a Reality Fair at the Chambersburg High School in April 2015. The 11th and 12th grade business class students got a dose of financial reality at this Fair. During the fair, the students chose a career and salary. They had to budget their money by visiting various booths (housing, transportation, food, clothing, etc) and determine if they had money left over at the end of month. At the end of the fair they met with a financial counselor to determine how successful they were with their expenses.

Franklin County Builders Show

Patriot participated in the annual Franklin County Builders Show in Chambersburg in March. Patriot employees talked to people in the community about mortgages, home equity loans and other products and services that Patriot offers.

Patriot attended the recent Senator Rob Kauffman's 9th Annual Senior Fair on Friday, September 5 at the Chambersburg Mall. Approximately 100 local vendors (financial institutions, retirement communities, investment services, PA state offices, etc.) were at this event meeting with the over 2,500 attendees.

Your Gateway branch employees participated in the Gateway Lobby Day at the branch office. It was a great day for meeting the staff and getting free ice cream.

Leadership Franklin County

Patriot presented a check for $500 to Leadership Franklin County. Leadership Franklin County helps to improve the quality and effectiveness of leadership in the Franklin County area by bringing together current and emerging leaders who represent a cross-section of the community; creating an awareness of the problems, opportunities, and resources available in the area; stimulating a commitment to work together toward solving the Countyís problems and making this a better place in which to live and work; and building and maintaining networks of community leaders who know and trust each other.

Maranatha Ministries Food Pantry

Patriot had a food drive on Saturday, June 7 in conjunction with our annual shred event. Members and employees donated food for local food pantries. This food pantry in Chambersburg helps over 800 people a month. This non-profit organization also provides a variety of counseling services including debt counseling.

The Greater Chambersburg Chamber Foundation Scoop-A-Palooza

Patriotís employees were in full force this past weekend at the Scoop-A-Palooza event at the Chambersburg High School cafeteria. Scoop-A-Palooza is the all you can eat ice cream festival to benefit the Greater Chambersburg Chamber Foundation on Education. Over 900 attendees tasted ice cream from Dietrich Ice Cream, Magic Ice Cream, The Meadows, Trickling Springs Creamery, Udderly Delicious Frozen Yogurt and Windy Knoll. Patriot was a sponsor and had a table handing out ice cream scoops and other Patriot items to the attendees. Patriot employees Caroline Csala, Jessica Gruber, Jake Naugle and Jen Verno worked at our table. Andi Grenke, Linda Stoner, Colleen Smoyer and Mary Warren helped with the raffle table, registration table and ice cream vendors.

Patriot presented a $500 check to the Greater Chambersburg Chamber Foundation at Scoop-A-Palooza. All proceeds go to local education.

American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Chambersburg - June 13

Our Patriot team did great!! Out of 23 teams we were #8 in fundraising totals. We also bypassed our team goal of $2,000. Thanks so much to this year's team for your committments to the fight for a cure. This years team members were: Andrea Grenke, Carla Heckman, Holly Green, Joyce Johnson, Natasha Lehman, Niki Sheppard, Rebecca Sanders, Sara Dykes, Stacie Bachman, Tasha White, Tracy Burk, Tricia Baney, William & Danielle Humphrey, Tom Iacona and Mary Warren.




Shred Day and Food Drive

Saturday June 7th's shred event was the biggest and best one that Patriot has held. We had over 120 cars from 8:00 Ė 12:00. Wow!! And the food drive was a huge success. We collected over 20 boxes full of food to distribute to local food banks.




Patriot Cares Bowl for Kids Sake

Patriot participated in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Washington County annual Bowl for Kids' Sake on Sunday, April 27 at Turner's Dual Lanes, Hagerstown. The money from this fundraiser goes towards helping at-risk children and youth reach their full potential through professionally supported one-to-one relationship with adult mentors in the Washington County area.

Franklin County Literacy Council Dr. Seuss Birthday Party

The Franklin County Literacy Council celebrated Dr. Seuss Birthday on Friday, February 28 at the Chambersburg Mall with face painting, cupcakes, crafts, music, dancing and Patriot employees handed out Patriot balloons. Over 200 children attended this event. Patriot employees have participated the last 3 years. Employees who helped were: Jake Naugle, Brittany Whiteside, Tasha White and Mary Warren.
