A Secondary Savings Account makes sense if there are specific things you are saving for in addition to setting aside money for the future. A secondary account allows you to keep funds for specific needs separate from the other funds in your savings account, making it easier to track progress towards your goal. You’ll still enjoy the same great rates and low fees that come with our standard Basic Savings Account.

Once you have opened your Basic Savings Account, you can set up additional Secondary Savings accounts through our Online Banking service

All funds above $5 in a Secondary Savings Account earn dividends at the same rate as our Basic Savings Account.  Rates are variable and subject to change at any time.

Yes, funds in your Secondary Savings Account are insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) in exactly the same way as money in your Basic Savings Account and other deposit accounts. The NCUA guarantees funds invested with member financial institutions up to a maximum of $250,000 per account.
