Patriot offers notary service at all of its branches. A notary is a state-appointed official, who witnesses important document signings and verifies the identities of the signers to help deter fraud and identity theft. A notarized document will contain the seal and signature of the notary who witnessed the signing and will have more legal weight than a document that is not notarized.

Patriot employees are unable to notarize I-9 forms, documents related to vehicle title work, or witness documents that require them to share personal information.

A Signature Guarantee is used to verify the authenticity of a signature and the signer’s overall request. This type of guarantee is used in situations where financial instruments are being transferred. The guarantor (Patriot) accepts all consequences in the event that the signature is fraudulent.

A  Signature Validation is used to verify the authenticity of a signature. This type of guarantee is used when processing non-securities transactions. A non-securities event is defined as any commercial transaction that does not involve the sale, assignment, transfer, or redemption of a security, such as stocks, bonds, and mutual funds.
